Roof Replacement

Long-lasting protection and curb appeal, built to withstand Iowa weather.

Replacing Your Roof with Wolf Roofing

When your roof has reached the end of its life, our roof replacement service ensures long-lasting protection and curb appeal. We tear off the old roofing, inspect and repair the decking if needed, and install a brand-new roof built to withstand Iowa weather.

Signs It’s Time for a New Roof

Most homeowners don’t wake up planning to replace a roof. It’s usually a combination of small signals that add up: shingles that are curling, cracking, or losing granules; a roof that’s 20+ years old even if it looks fine from the street; daylight visible through attic decking; or a repair history that’s starting to add up faster than it used to. If your roof is showing more than one of these signs, a replacement is usually the more cost-effective path than repeated patch jobs – and we’ll tell you honestly if that’s not the case for your roof yet.

A Complete Roof Replacement System, Not Just New Shingles

A roof replacement is more than new shingles on top of the old system. Every Wolf Roofing replacement starts with a full tear-off, so we can inspect the decking underneath and repair or replace any sections that have soft spots, rot, or water damage — issues a shingle-over job would just seal in. From there, we install a complete system: underlayment, starter shingles, proper ventilation, and flashing and accessories at the vulnerable points (chimneys, valleys, vent pipes) where leaks actually start. We install CertainTeed’s full shingle lineup, from the reliable Landmark® series to the Class 4 impact-resistant NorthGate® ClimateFlex®, so you can choose based on your home, your budget, and your life.

What Replacement Actually Looks Like

Because our crews work efficiently and know the system inside and out, most residential replacements are completed in a single day: tear-off, inspection, new install, and full cleanup. Your roof will look great and your yard and driveway will be clear before we leave. We handle scheduling around your timeline, keep you posted throughout the day, and do a final walkthrough with you before calling the job done. It’s the Wolf Way.

Our Roof Replacement Process

1. Free inspection and estimate

A Wolf Roofing inspector walks your entire roof, not just the area you’re concerned about, and gives you a clear, no-obligation estimate and material recommendation based on what your roof actually needs.

2. Clear communication and scheduling

Once you approve the estimate, we schedule your replacement around your calendar and keep you posted on your start date, material delivery, and what to expect on installation day. No guessing when the crew is showing up.

3. Safe tear-off and decking inspection

We remove the old roofing system down to the decking, inspect it for soft spots, rot, or water damage, and repair or replace any sections that don’t hold up before anything new goes on top.

4. New roof installation, most done in one day

Your new CertainTeed system – underlayment, starter shingles, ventilation, flashing, and shingles – goes on in the sequence the manufacturer specifies, installed by a certified crew working efficiently from start to finish.

5. Complete cleanup and walkthrough

We clear debris and nails from your yard and driveway with a magnetic sweep, then walk the finished roof with you so you know exactly what was done before we call the job complete.

“

Wolf Roofing did an amazing job with our house. Great communication – especially considering the weather at the time. The house and garage were done in one day, including the removal of an old chimney. Gutters were also installed in one day. We had a couple unexpected issues (old house), and Wolf took care of it. Price was on point, and we did pretty extensive research. We’d hire and recommend Wolf Roofing any day!
